253 commy from the factory, only changes is the dealer fitted air, the compressor was updated just before i bought the car, one of the relays controled the starter, it let me down 2 times it had a bad earth, my wife got caught 2 times, but she learned to hit it with her show. After the second time ( over 4 years i bought a new relay and relocated it - problem solved )

Noisey Lifters & Tappets, i bought new lifter but noticed the cam was worn, the only thing available was a stage 3 270 duration hydraulic. It turned out perfect, went weell low, picked up high, and had a good idle

Althought covered up the commy got a 270 cam and a HZ 4bbl manifold with a rochester. the car was super smmoth and you were suprised when you looked at the speedo, it was so deceptive. The HJ 308 was strong and threw you in the seat, but the commy was quicker - both had 308 diff, we put it down to the lower weight. The commy was the wifes car and my sone done his L's on it - he hated it. Birthday present Brock cover - to stop the fan belts shreading and marking the bonnet - thats one reason
