New, stripped HX cab. Later found to be one of the HQ plenum commercial cabs. So... had to fix floor anyway. So, I took the next logical step.

..and welded a HZ Premier firewall to it. Carefully unpicked the spot welds and measured about fifty seperate meaurements. In 20:20 hindishgt, this would be the time to hang doors and then measurement would be less necessary...

What a mess the HZ was. So, I stripped it of all the good gear and got rid of it. It had been crashed, was full of rust and was only worth the sum of its parts.

I used Marine Clean, Metal Ready (phosphoric Acid) and POR 15 (www.por15.com.au) and couldnt recommend their products more. It is excellent. I brushed this on. Later, I sprayed the stuff and it looks excellent.

Welding in Gas tank brackets. I wanted to fit it longituinallyy in front of the diff, but, wasnt prepared to cut the chassis to make it fit. It just fits (94 litres) between rails behind diff. And... It allows a bit more weight over rear axle. With over 350hp, this is important!
