The VY in amongst some tall(ish) timber on Mt Donna Buang near Warburton (sure looks different to the Warburton in WA!).
The VY in amongst some tall(ish) timber on Mt Donna Buang near Warburton (sure looks different to the Warburton in WA!). When I got to the top of the mountain (1250 metres high), the cloud base was at about 1200 metres so I couldn't see a damn thing!

An Iriquois Helicopter. One of these was the first aircraft I ever flew in. I was sitting where the dummy is on the RHS of the back seat with the door open and the seatbelt would have gone around about 4 of me. The pilot went up 1500 feet and turned the chopper on its side to fly away from the LZ. I'm now sitting on the bottom of the seat and looking through an open doorway 1500 feet down to the trees...scary. Now, I love flying in choppers...

A P51 Mustang at Point Cook Museum. They used to use this to do demonstation Flights but it has become too expensive (and valuable) to run. I went to see it fly so wasn't happy when it didn't.

The sign in front of the XU1. The handwritten bit says "Didn't do as he was told" signed Harry Firth. He is referring to Doug Chivas running out of fuel which cost the car victory at Bathurst (and means Brocky won't get 10 wins there).
