1. Once again, supporting the car is your first concern (well, after loosening the wheel nuts that is), an investment in a good jack and car stands is really worthwhile for any sort of job like this.

2. Once the car is jacked and supported we can remove the wheel and have a look at what we need to do. My aim on this one was to see if I could remove the disc without fully removing the caliper
didnt work, but it didnt create any problems to do it this way either so its up to you to decide what to remove first, Im going to start by working on the rotor.

3. There are five countersunk bolts that hold the rotor to the hub, removing these is the first step to removing the rotor, you can of course leave them in but I definitely recommend either removing them or at least loosening them while the rotor is on the car.

4. Next we remove the grease cap from the hub; this reveals a setup exactly the same as that which we saw on the drum brakes.

5. We remove the split pin first so that we can then move to removing the nut.

6. Once the nut is removed there is only the washer and the outer bearing left in the center of the hub, the inner bearing and seal are inaccessible to us at the moment.
