Final Notes
Tool notes:
For this job you should probably grab some extra insulated wire. You'll also need a decent spanner set and sockets, crimping tool, wire cutter, crimp ends, electric tape, screw drivers and allan keys. A 375mm fan belt was also an ideal length for the HR. I'd also recommend the use of new radiator hoses, you'll get a better seal and find them easier to push over the water pump seals.
Installation Notes:
If you have a decent amount of space front and rear of the radiator then I would recommend the use of as big a fan as possible, a large fan will flow more air than two small fans.
On a car with limited space (like the HR and earlier) I'd recommend the use of smaller fans but use two i.e. two 12" or 10" fans on the front and if you like on the rear also. I wouldn't do what I have done in this guide and go different sized fans on the front and rear, I have only done this so that I can show how the different fans fit.
