First some pictures of the door trim removal tool should you decide to make your own, this tool makes the job a lot easier since you can literally take all the door handles off the whole car in just a few minutes using it. This first picture is from underneath the tool (it is bent upwards).

This photo shows the bend in the tool, the bend allows you to get the tool in between the handle and its washer/plate to get to the clip without forcing you to hold the tool hard against the door trim.

The tool from the top, you can see just how basic the whole tool is here, just two metal plates held together by a few pins.

A close up of the main part of the tool, the tip that allows you to push it into the handle against the clip. The best thing about this tool is that it puts no strain on the handle at all to get it off; the tool is flat and easily slides in where it needs to go without pressure needing to be applied to the handle itself.

The dimensions of the tool tip, probably the most important thing to take note of if you are thinking of making your own.
