Gone but not forgotten - past Holdens

We cant keep 'em all. Many of these cars were our own tranpsort for a while and some were just bought as potential projects or parts cars and moved on. Part of the nature of a panel business is to buy up any unwanted projects that people have given up on for one reason or another. So when a client comes in with a rusted clapped out EH for example - I can sell them one of mine if I have a better one, thus saving all parties concerned much time and expense. Some times we might buy the customers car for wrecking out for others projects as well as our own.

Keywords: This FC van was not started on within twelve months of buying it - so down the road it went. How many Vans do I need anyhow?

The owner had been trying to get the car into the shop for me to finish it off for some time - the end result was the prospect of spending over 15k to properly finish it off meant that he lost interest. I bought the car from him and sold it off a few weeks later when I too realised that it was going to require big $$$$ to bring it up to scratch.....

The interior was pretty average. Took it for a test drive and it ran ok.. It had disc brakes - and it was an auto - Quick phone call to mrs streetneat confirmed it would make a good driver for her. Great another bloody project!

The interior is totally original and was the best I had ever seen. Not much of the car we started with remained.

With the ghost of the wreck looking on - The transformation meant we weren't being laughed at anymore for investing effort into a HD.

The only family outing - Greazefest 2004. A new owner had been found - without even trying to sell the car -wife not happy - but was much happier about getting the funds to finish her FC project.

The wifes first car - a 186 ,powerglide powered HG Kingswood ,finished in Cascade green with the Apline white roof - as close to the original colours as we could get. Built b4 streetneat days. still gets around and still looks like this today. Nicely lowered with a set of widened steelies.

GTS style grill about the only deviation from the stock look - also the HT tailights were the better option over the cruddy HG ones we had.

Toowoomba_swap_2005_006

Cant help myself - at Toowoomba swap 2005 i stumbled across this Van - we aggreed on a not too bad price and took it with the idea that maybe it could replace the forlorn EK Van project... but it will not be replacing any projects...just adding to them.....the old bloke delivered it for us- Thanks Len.

It is a very clean body - came with a few spares - but none of them very good. Just needs new front sheet metal and be she will be perfect...oh yeah - also came with the pair of full side cuts to return it to windowless... Drive line may be injected commodore v8 eventually - have to get some other projects done first... told Mrs streetneat she could have this one...heh heh heh...
