The project thus far - Consumed the price of a new HSV at this point... Lots of engineering sucked up the $$$$. Chassis has been stretched 1 m - plus now has the modern updates such as shock absorbers and airbags as well as power steer.

Inside the beast - that blue thing you see is a wheelbarrow - worked out it has the same gauge steel as the trucks firewall and once cut up created the perfect alcove for the engine to nestle in.... That leather on the seats is the original - truck has only ever travelled 69000 miles....

And here where some of that money got spent... that's a crate motor from Chevrolet sitting in there - backing it up is a six speed Isuzu truck box.....

Engine -502 cu GM crate
Power- 334 SAE hp @ 2800 rpm
Torque - 512 ft pounds @ 2800 rpm
So you see its designed to be truck engine - nothing else.... Fed by Gas Research LPG twin carbs and a small bank loan every time it will need filling up . I will get my own coffee mug at the servo - I think they will be seeing me on a regular basis.

Another view - showing air pump for the air systems to the left - air con compressor - power steer, alternator, fan, water pump, idlers - it was a mission to find a home for all these items.... HEI ignition lights the fire - when I get around to firing this thing up eventually. Note how the steering is now routed through the inner guard.
