VH SLX 253

This is my VH Commodore SLX wagon. It was bought as a donor for its 253, new clutch and its Salisbury disc brake LSD.

I found this one in a front yard a few streets away. At the time I didn't think much of it, but I re-discovered during a drunken march home some months later. Curiousity got the better of me and I decided to go and take a closer look.

Its a 253 and 4spd Aussie box, with a disc brake LSD rear. After looking it over we agreed on $400. For that price it also came with a spare tailgate, drivers door, front bumper, panhard rod, and a gas system with a spare converter. the previous owner had the clutch done a couple of months back at a cost of $500, so he wouldn't go any lower. It runs really well and pulls like a frieght train despite 1st gear being stuffed.

The body isn't too bad, the hanging panels have rust in their frames, but the shell itself is solid. Its straight and most of the paint shines up ok.

My gaurd dog Shadow. She seems to like it. The car looked like it used to belong to a Columbian coke dealer or something, because there was this white powder all over the passenger front carpet. On closer examination though it appears that a whiz fizz packet got torn up inside the car.
