Shed: The Blue Meanie
My HZ Tonner! What more can I say...?
Well, alot actually. I bought her in August 04 from a tattoo artist in Woodridge, Brisbane and it sure looked the goods. V8, manual, fat tyres, every boys' dream!
Got her home and gutted it, paint was fresh but very ordinary so got a quote from the body shop. Everything checked out good. The cab gets stripped and... bugger, rust everywhere. Whoever tryed to fix it had meant well but obviously didnt know his arse from his elbow, as the pics below show. Anyway, a Sandman ute body was cut down into a tonner cab (Don't worry, somone pinched the sandman id plates years ago), painted in Ford Blueprint metallic Blue and slapped onto my chassis.
Out went the benchy, ratty carpet, hoodlining, dash and door trims and in went the Monza sport seats, velour headlining, and nice carpet. I built the tray at home and got it painted at the body shop, whacked in the ironbark timber and toolbox/esky.
Went for a quick drive and 3rd gear...

Shed: Build pics
The build-up took a quick 7 months from August 04 to February 05. Rust was a huge problem from day one with the panelbeater saying this was the rustiest thing he'd ever seen, as the photos back up. A suitable cab couldn't be found so a Sandman ute cab was cut down to suit. A parcel shelf was added and id reccomend it to anyone and everyone! - very handy.
