Resto starts with the removal of the original wheels. Have a spare set of GTS rims that went onto the van during the resto process. This shows them after sandblasting, priming and charcoal paint. Taped ready for silver to go on.

How do you pull out a scrape the entire length of a panel without warping it. Weld on hundreds of nails, pull the panel out and then grind them off. It is about now that I was starting to see what it takes to do the job properly.

The old man Glenn helping with the motor. Without him this would not have been possible. Also an old holdener among other things. His changing stable consists of at present 2 FC's (1 original restored, 1 hotted up in build), 68 Cooper S mini, S model valiant, Triumph Herald, 1914 GWK veteran. Not hard to catch the car bug growing up here!!

Hooking up the wiring and the gas. She started but had no oil pressure. Needed to remove oil filter and pump and load with oil before she would agree to pick it up. Big relief when she did.
