ej boot
boot almost back to bare metal. i've been stripping the paint with orbital air-compressed sanders. which you can see in one of the following pics of the roof. in the spray bottle is rust converter. only small rust spot on bottom right corner but i still sprayed the whole boot and then wipe it down with a rag. with the spray bottle you can spray in to all the crooks and crevices and i've found you get better coverage and rust converter lasts longer.

the roof
the roof is nearly back to spray standards. bit dusty though.. sanders: red one is bought from supacheap for $30 and is wicked for stripping with the right sanding pad on. ran at 50 to 60 PSI. the other one is also an orbital (borrowed from a mate) but has a smaller rotation circle as it is retanglar shaped and it seems to cover just as much area as the red one and is perfect for getting a nice smooth finish, ready for spraying. feels glassy

rear EJ screen, glass removed
i have popped out both the front and rear windscreens. i've found the easiest way to remove these windscreens is to use soapy water and spray it around the seals before you start. makes the rubber nice and soft and you dont need to cut it. mine is soft and undamaged ready to re-use. this is the only rust that was underneath this seal. i think its pretty good considering this car was left in the weather out bush for nine years uncovered for the majority. the old car canvas tarp had disintegrated around it. probably a good thing in the end.
