Shed: My Project Car
This is my project car, it was my dads. It is a 1979 HZ Kingswood Station Wagon. He owned it since it was only 6 Months old and has taken it right around Australia.
It is powered by its original 253ci V8 which pushes its power through its original Trimatic, the original Banjo 3.08:1 ratio differential sits under the back.

This is my HZ one tonner. I got it sort of by accident after dad did a backyard paint job for someone else (on their one tonner), and they ended up sending this one home with me as part payment for the job. He was initially intending to use this one, but ended up using another. Lucky for me he didnt use it because if i had of never got it, i would have never had the knowledge and love for the thing i do now. This is also my first car (Im 17)

The Mates HZ Prem. Original 253 Trimatic was ditched for a VN 5lt and 5 speed. Things have not gone smoothly, every part recieved from conversion specialists has either been wrong or we have had to modify to fit. Makes you wonder sometimes!

Shed: Under HZ carpet
Having heard a few Holden owners saying that they found a build sheet under the carpet, I thought I’d check what was under the original carpet in my HZ because it looks like it had never been pulled up. The answer was a few leaves and some beach sand and in tune with being an ex-cop car, a .22 calibre bullet! I thought cops had to account for every bullet they were issued. Anyway, it was a pretty cool thing to find under the passengers seat.

Shed: HZ Coming home
Melbourne Cup Tuesday, November 09 saw the return of my car from Alfio's Classic Car Restoration. I'm very happy, it looks amazing. A lot of work is required such but that is all secondary: radio, carpet, air conditioning. Apart from a few little things on order such as a bonnet cable the car itself is as straight as the day it left the factory. Thanks to all involved.

Read VDO dayton manual first to make sure the deck is going to work with a 7GB ipod prior to purchase.
Take negative battery terminal off (check).
Dismantle dash and store safely (check).
Connect deck to wiring and put negative battery terminal back on to confirm the deck is working (check).
Allow time to install deck in dash (check).
Disconnect deck wiring and store in secure location (check)
