I will try to include all photos of this build as I find them. If you are considring this build or one similar then all I can say is YOUR MAD !! do the maths on all the costs involved and weigh up your options between old and new engines. as a basic guide, excluding the cost of a gen 3 engine and box you are looking at around $5000 in extra bits and pices. in this shed I will put up images of all the bits and pices you will need.

This is a GM ls1 truck sump, it can be used for the conversion but will hang well below the cross member thus it will botom out and get smashed. They can be modified ( cut n shut ) I chose to use a castle main rod shop sump because they are well made, the downside is that a CRS sump needs a remote filter. CAE have told me that thier sumps have the filter intergrated into the side like a ome sump.

fuel tankAlternitive efi setup with pre-rail pressure regulator wich removes the need for a return line. I have been told that a return setup with a regulator post fuel rail is the way to go because it gives a more stable system.

ls1 mount adaptersMade my own engine mount adapters to suit hz ( hq to vt ) style rubber mounts. I dont like the CSR ones because they use early HG style mounts wich are very small and probly wont enjoy big power. My adapters are made from 100 x 50 rhs and 8mm plate steel

standard 6 speed clutch pedal masterI have used a complete VT commodore clutch pedal because its a good set up and is sized correctly for the matching 6 speed manual box.

CAE headers. Castle Automotive Engineering. Very well made. I tried to use the pacemaker ones, they look great but they dont fit, the collecters hit the floor pan and and the pipes touch the firewall. Thats what you get when you use a cad. program to design a set of pipes and dont use a car and motor to make them on. I did speak directly to pacemaker and they sounded supprised that my pipes didnt work with the CRS mounts. They wanted to look at it but lost intrest once they realised it was going to be a drive to the country side to inspect the job.... oh well. Wonder if they have fixed the problem since ? pm me if you know.
