fuelie rod
note the lumps on the rod near the bolts, that indicates that it is a fuelie rod. slightly stronger there than the std small journal rod. new rod bolts and resize are a must.

as cast
using a set of dart sportsman 2's. they are brand new but were assembled and fitted to an engine but not run. they are about 6 years old. not my preferable choice of head for this aplication, but i have them and therefore gives me $1000 to spend elswhere. with "a lot of work" they will be fine. these heads flow ok out of the box, but why leave things std.

Shed: Chev Diff
I used a Chev diff to replace the origional Banjo. Not the strongest of diffs by any stretch of the imagination, but it was free, HQ stud pattern, complete with brakes, 3.36:1 ratio and not much work to modify.
