You can see from this picture that the standard cabin light is hard wired in - no connectors to unplug - so you need to cut the wires! In order to remove the light from the roof, you need to bend three little tabs straight, and then the light comes off. You'll see the tabs after you take off the white plastic cover. The white wire is the earth, the orange wire is +12V.
