Body

Finally getting round to doing the body, I'm happy with the running gear and how the car rides so now its time to tidy up the body.

Pushed the front and rear windscreens out to check the extent rust. Looks like the bottom of the rear windscreen was a problem area during the cars last build too, they were kind enough to bog it all up :)

Note the extra holes hacked in the parcel shelf for speakers, this was done by a previous owner. We will rectify this as the coppers love checking this structural area for such holes.

Front windscreen 'frame' is in reasonable shape. the bottom section is quite goo compared to the rear windscreen, with only a little bit of rust but nothing that a wire wheel can't take care of.

Here is where the two master cylinders mount, through the firewall and attach to the pedal box under the dash. I'm not happy with the designers at holden and it is beyond me why they would mount one slightly higher than the other as you can see.
I'll be cutting up the fire wall and making them even as well as spacing them apart a bit so I can fit some billet caps on the reservoirs.

Pulled the tank out. I was a little concerned about the boot floor where it meets the fuel tank and the edges of the tank itself. After a closer inspection the rust is nothing a wire wheel can't handle.

I have no idea how these holes came about, there was about 10mm of filler hiding them. Its almost like a garden fork or pitch fork made the holes because they're in a pattern.
