A closer shot of the pedal assembly, its position has to be chosen very carefully. It has to be in comfortable spot in the cabin (last photo) but out side the car it must not be obstructed or it will not work correctly. it luckily slotted in nicely, just missing the handbrake cable and a strengthening ridge in the floor.

Setting up brackets in the engine bay is quite a challange. You can see my earlier planning on the firewall but this spot was way too close to the remaining linkage. I ended up making a new drop down tab off the linkage to attach the cable to, about half a day was used fabricating that one piece alone and it still needs some more fine tuning.

Here is a clearer shot from the other side.
The bushing bracket on the fire wall has been set out further than original and the remaining linkage to the carbies pivots in the bushing and a hole drilled in the rear of bushing bracket to support it at the firewall also.

The position of the pedal in the cabin, you can see where the old pedal mount was. I didn't mean to butcher the floor but it was very akward to remove, it will be welded up later. The pedal is in a good spot, almost the same possition as the standard one. The linkage behind will be removed next.
